Casting Call: Rodham

In which we suggest who should star in the next big adaptation, remake, or historical film.

When Bill Clinton sat down with Piers Morgan last year, he gave answers on who he’d want to play himself and Hillary in inevitable upcoming film adaptations of the political power couple’s life together. Well, rumors of a Hillary Clinton biopic are creating an audible buzz in Hollywood, and though Bill’s answers of George Clooney and Meryl Streep were laudable, the script focuses on Hillary in her early 20s. Written by South Korean screenwriter Young Il Kim, Rodham is said to feature makeout scenes and Carly Simon singalongs, as Hillary acts as the youngest member of the impeachment inquiry staff during the Watergate scandal.

We’ve taken the liberty of casting Rodham ourselves. We’re picturing a total ’70s period piece—bell-bottoms, rock music, presidents getting impeached… things also all appropriately applicable to the ’90s.
