Belmont Cameli never played hockey before booking Off Campus, Prime Video’s adaptation of Elle Kennedy’s bestselling romance series. Now he’s the face of the show everyone is comparing to Heated Rivalry, playing all-star athlete and campus heartthrob Garrett Graham, and generating the kind of on-screen chemistry with costar Ella Bright that has made Off Campus one of the year’s breakout shows. So we figured now was the right time to ask him a few questions about what’s really going on.

What’s on your mind?
Usually food.  Today it’s sushi.

What time do you wake up?
In the last month I think I’ve been up at a different time every day, varying from 4am to 2pm.

What’s your summer about?
Work, finding more work, being outside, and having my friends over.

What does it feel like to be you?
Seems good.

What are you running from?
Honestly, just my storage unit.

What’s the last thing you cooked?
Chopped up hot dogs and scrambled eggs.

What do you do when you’re nervous?
My palms get sweaty and I tell all the people around me.

What’s a hill you’ll die on?
Put the damn fish back in the sea. I don’t care that you got a dolphin to do a double backflip. Put them back right now or I’m coming over there.

Oh, I don’t know.

What do you love?
When there’s a huge dog over there.

Who makes you happy?
Everybody I choose to keep around me.

Who do you miss?
My old man, easy.

What’s your favorite taste?
I gotta say sunflower seeds, behind the wheel of my car, on a summer day.

What’s your greatest temptation?
The fruit of another, am I right? No, just kidding, good song, though. Burgers is my answer.

What are you allergic to?
I always forget I have mild environmental allergies and every time I get a sinus infection I’m genuinely incredulous, like, how could this possibly happen to me? Who did this?

How do you get around?
I drive.

What’s the last thing you bought?
My car.

What happens when we die?
Jesus Christ, I have no idea.

What are you ignoring?
My storage unit.

What do you drink too much of?
Whiskey, gin, tequila, and also whiskey.

What do you do with a free day?
I sleep in, I scroll, I go for drives with super loud music and then I pause the music and I call a bunch of people. And I lift and do computer time!
