Marni Does Miami

Nowhere do Marni’s pastel prints seem so sensible as Miami—particularly during the week of Art Basel Miami Beach, when blurred vision is the rule. Following the opening of the new New York boutique last month, the Milanese-based designer unveiled its first
flagship store in Miami. The boutique, inspired by local Art Deco, was designed by Marni head deasigner Consuelo Castiglioni and the architects from Sybarite, who have previously brought Marni’s signature swooping metallic arches to New York, Istanbul, and Macao. The graduated patterns induce what the designers call “haute relief,” which is all we could hope from a vacation anyway.

Marni Miami opens tonight, December 2, 5–8 PM 3930 NE 2nd Avenue, Suite 100. By invitation only.
