It’s that time of year again: New York Fashion Week. And as always, the first show of the season comes courtesy of the man, the myth, the legend—Mr. Michael Kors. For Spring-Summer 2026, the patron saint of American fashion sent slouchy suiting, fringe skirts, and drop-crotch pants down the runway at Terminal Warehouse. For our fashion director Dara, the collection evoked Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct. “But not the famous sexy white pussy look,” she clarified. “More her brown and neutrals vibe when she’s mysteriously pensive on her deck.” Below, she rings in the season by answering our brand-new Fashion Week questionnaire.

Where are you? Somewhere on the West Side around the corner from the Eagle. It’s the Michael Kors show.
How did you get here? With a dream and a wish.
Who are you pretending to be? Myself.
What’s today’s theme? Recovery.
What’s keeping you going? Glamour keeps me alive!!!
How long did it take you to get ready? I was born this way.
What’s the best part of your outfit? My bright coral vintage YSL swing coat.
Do fashion shows make you nervous? Yes!!!!!
Are you good at small talk? Depends on my outfit.
What’s the most embarrassing thing in your bag? Five old hotel keys I have yet to throw away
What did the show remind you of? Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct but not the famous sexy white pussy look, her brown and neutrals vibe when she’s mysteriously pensive on her deck. So chic.
Who caught your eye? Law Roach. Inez and Vinoodh. Lea Michele.
If you could steal one piece from the collection, what would it be? The hammer pants!!! When I was in high school I had a pair of sequin drop crotch pants and I wore them to DEATH! Thank god Michael Kors has brought the drop crotch BACK!
Where are you going in those runway shoes? Leather chunky sandal was sexy for like lunch at The Grove. Brandy Melville pizza vibes. When I’m a young mom.
What was the bag situation? Crumpled leather lunch bag. Cross body fringe casual. Baggy bags. I liked it.
What are you doing tonight?I have a zoom call for a shoot next week. BUS CLUB NOTHER CLUB NO SLEEP!
