“I Could’ve Snatched It Off the Model!”: Ravyn Lenae Enters the Coach SS26 Fantasy

Ahead of the Coach SS26 show on Monday afternoon, creative director Stuart Vevers announced the brand’s mission statement. “At its heart,” he said, “it’s about looking forward positively, optimistically.” The loud and playful collection that made its way down the runway at Pier 36 was no exception. Youthful and genderless, Coach SS26 is all about patchwork pants, schoolgirl accessories, screenprinted skylines, and flashy embroidery. For the singer-songwriter Ravyn Lenae, the collection was like a time capsule. “It reminded me of the cool girls I saw growing up who wore Coach,” she told us in a post-show debrief before setting off for an evening of NYFW parties. “Something about it felt like walking thru the city and noticing those effortlessly fly people.”

What’s today’s theme? Effortless, whimsy, magical.
What’s keeping you going? How much fun I get to have with music and style.
How long did it take you to get ready? 2 hours
What’s the best part of your outfit? The ribbon detail on the dress I think is so playful and memorable.
Do fashion shows make you nervous? Sometimes. I think the most intimidating part is meeting people and trying to make friends but once you realize everyone feels a little awkward about it, it becomes easy.
Are you good at small talk? Sometimes. I like when I can easily laugh with a stranger, that makes me feel like I know something about them.
What’s the most embarrassing thing in your bag? Deodorant 🙂
What did the show remind you of? The show reminded me of the cool girls I saw growing up who wore Coach. Something about it felt like walking thru the city and noticing those effortlessly fly people.
Who caught your eye? Floweroflove ! I think she’s a star.
If you could steal one piece from the collection, what would it be? There was a blue crewneck sweater with a cute little cat face on it. I wish I could’ve snatched it off the model
What was the bag situation? Had on a super cute brown coach bag big enough to fit my phone, lip gloss, and breath mints!
What are you doing tonight? I’m going out to dinner and a few parties.
What time are you going to bed? Hopefully before 3 AM!
Who is the winner of fashion week? My mom is the real winner for coming back and forth from Chicago TWICE to see me during the week.
