Men: If you’re dead set on getting your feet dirty in the city this summer, at least do it in style. Save the $1 rubber flip-flops for the beach, and break out some leather sandals in your self-appointed urban paradise. There are lots of ways to do it, all of which are demonstrated quite well in action films featuring Russell Crowe. For the often–perhaps unjustly–maligned Gladiator effect, try sandals that crawl up your ankle, generally with thinner straps. In preparation for this summer’s Robin Hood, go sturdier (for the woods, of course), with natural textures.
