Tweed, Lady Gaga, and Beat Up Bags: Mel’s Chanel FW26 Dispatch

Chanel

Ok so I just left the new Chanel FW26 show, Matthieu Blazy part four. It was all about the tweed suit for me. There were a million suits: rainbow, black, grey, neutrals, metallics. My favorite was a very conservative gray knee-length collarless suit. It felt exciting. There were some classic grey and burgundy bags that looked like they had been trashed and “Just Dance” by Lady Gaga was pumping. There was very little skin but it still felt light. Shirts were untucked. Oh, there was also a little apple bag but the best bags were those beat up ones. And then the finale was a super conservative and gorgeous black pants suit and a black gown with a big black camellia on a naked back. Maybe it’s time for lots of suit ordering.
