London-based influencer and memoirist Camille Charrière answers a few personal questions about life on the little screen.

———

What are you wearing?

Chanel, Paris Texas thigh highs, a brown suede mini, and a poplin blouse with frilly cuffs and acute collar. Anita Pallenberg meets Calamity Jane.

Where are you right now?

On the floor in my new flat in Paris. I just got back from a shoot and I’m about to run out for dinner. Our furniture hasn’t arrived yet, so I’ve been living a bit of a feral existence this week.

What do you like to eat?

White carbs (my husband calls me fusilli), couscous royale, or the spiciest vindaloo I can get my hands on. I love adding lemon or chili to whatever is on my plate.

What’s your favorite body part?

My daddy-long-legs (they run in the fam, so no point asking for my secret.)

Dress and Belt Chloé. Shoes Stylist’s Own.

Where do you go to hide?

Behind my screen.

Who do you tell your secrets to?

Everyone. That’s probably why I’m writing a memoir. I suffer from overshare-itis and needed somewhere to put all that.

What meds are you on?

SSRIs (Sertraline), beta blockers, stimulants (Elvanse), all the lady shit (testosterone, progesterone, and HRT). Speaking of, this is the first time I’ve been embarrassed to admit I’m on something; it feels so scary to admit your body is drying up.

What reminds you of your childhood?

Rodgers and Hammerstein and the P&O ferry from Dover to Calais.

What do you do that’s bad for you?

Scroll. It makes me sick in the head. I trick myself into calling it work.

Dress Bottega Veneta.

How do you sleep?

In a kind of disjointed Superman position, face down, with my arms twisted out of their sockets.

Who do you love?

My cat Ravioli, Nan Goldin, Haribos, my husband François Larpin, [Giacomo] Puccini.

What gives you energy?

Blasting music and dancing around like a lunatic, preferably to something objectively cheesy like The Lion King or Wicked.

Who are you jealous of?

People who know themselves and never seem to doubt the road ahead.

Coat and Stockings Alaïa. Underwear Agent Provocateur.

What would you die for?

Amy Winehouse’s voice.

What do you fake?

Confidence.

What counts as hard work?

I suffer from eldest daughter syndrome. The only thing that gives me a sense of accomplishment is slaving all day at a desk, which is absurd because so much of my career is front-facing.

What holds you back?

Shame. Not feeling good enough. Sometimes I get the sense that people can see into my soul, and that’s when I have to hide for a bit.

What do you think is sexy?

Confident dancers and great manners, especially when they are not dealt out transactionally. I’m a feminist, but nothing makes me feel sexier than a man opening doors.

What makes you sweat?

Dancefloors and deadlines.

What’s worth fighting for?

Your integrity.

What are you saving for later?

A cannelé I got from the boulangerie down the street and the last episode of Love Story.

What do you want more of?

Meaning.

Dress Courrèges.
