Deck the Halls With Saint Laurent: Our 2025 Holiday Gift Guide
With the holiday season upon us, it’s time to think about the art of gift giving. Specifically, what do you give to the person with a Cassandre-shaped hole in their heart? The answer, naturally, lies with Saint Laurent. Determined to find the ultimate gift, our art director Jack Vhay checked out the latest offerings from Rive Driot from the comfort of his living room, where his bounteous display of art books and tchotchke made for a natural backdrop.

A massive pool float? During a New York winter? An essential gift? Absolutely, as it turns out. This big, baby-pink Cassandre literally fits perfectly into my home—the window, specifically. I, like many New Yorkers, do not own a pool (Sad!). But it doesn’t matter, because what this float succeeds at is flooding my living room with uplifting, rose-colored light. It’s a powerful new tool in my battle against seasonal depression.

This little bag—with its quilted nappa exterior—is to my copy of Billy Budd what a puffer jacket is to me; a soft, protective, and luxurious shell. Inside, everything stays nice and cozy.

I’ll ignore the fact that Saint Laurent calls this a “coffee” mug—tea is the only thing I’ll be putting in here. Pairs very well with my books, but I make sure to always use a coaster, which in this case is a sleek, white lacquered wood one, also from Saint Laurent. What a happy coincidence!

The best gifts are ones that really say, “I love you.” So is this Baccarat crystal heart a bit too on-the-nose? I don’t think so. It’s stunning to look at in any light, and I love how heavy it is—guaranteed to double the weight of any stocking. And in this amber colorway, what’s not to love?

These earrings are so fab. If I were to invite people over for a party—which I am not, please leave me alone—I would absolutely dress up with these statement cherries. I did try one on, but it fell and landed tastefully onto a copy of Egoïste I was reading.

This chic brass lighter holder is so simple yet so perfect. I usually keep candles going in my apartment in the evening, and this makes the job of lighting them far more sexy. I want to give all my friends one of these for Christmas. (If you’re reading this, friends—I love you, but don’t hold me to that).

I keep a Swiss Army knife on me at all times, it’s genuinely one of my essentials. But this is the one you want. The knurled steel handle is totally satisfying. Great size, not too big to keep on a keychain. Or, keep it out on a coffee table as an objet d’art.

This paddle set is super cute, but it feels like more of a warm-weather thing, so I’ll leave it on the shelf for now. Absolutely paddle ball-playing inside the apartment!

I love a loud, clangy, metallic thermos; it really pulls focus. Since I already have my mug for tea, this one will be for water. When you’re sitting at home reading art books and magazines all night, you do need to stay hydrated.

These fruity keyrings open up! We love a reveal. I would write a secret little message and store it in one of these and gift it to a lover. Yum!
