“Caviar on a Blini Will Do”: Dara Goes Under the Mistletoe With Loewe

It’s brick out in New York City tonight. Tuesday night cocktails celebrating Loewe’s holiday collection at Titsou Bar in Tribeca. Eight minutes in an Uber from the office, thank god. I hear they’re doing pet portraits. Hopefully some dogs show up. Lucy tells me this hotel has a really nice spa but I’ve never even been to this bar. We pass a Christmas tree and the heater hits us in the face. This must be the place. Good tidings and cheer are spilling out of the cocktail bar. They take my purse but I keep my coat. It’s really too damn cold.

Lucy reminds me we have a cover shoot to prep, so we really shouldn’t indulge, but I take a cocktail anyway. Double kisses and wagyu on crispy rise escort me to the back of the bar where a very jolly man is drawing people’s pets. It’s adorable. Unfortunately, no actual dogs—just very chic illustrations and some glittery puppy ornaments on a Loewe Christmas tree. The logo-shaped candy canes were imported straight from the North Pole and made by elves, the PR tells me. Any gifts for me under there? No, but caviar on a blini will do. Yum. I’m buzzed off one drink and banging on the glass case with the new puppy-emblazoned puzzle bag. Soooo cute. Oop, okay, it’s time to go finish up some late night e-mails. Thanks, Loewe!
