With New York Fashion Week in full swing and celebrities descending upon our city en masse, the cup has runneth over in Interview‘s Star Map war room. Here, we’ve tracked the best of the best star sightings, outfits, and other famous-ish things, making news across New York City’s five boroughs during the week of February 4 — starting with Odell Beckham Jr. and Ansel Elgort going full Moulin Rouge at the Tom Ford show.
ODELL BECKHAM JR. and ANSEL ELGORT at THE PARK AVENUE ARMORY, MANHATTAN
Odell Beckham Jr. and Ansel Elgort were among the litany of stylish people — Victor Cruz, Karlie Kloss, Courtney Love — seated in the front row at the Tom Ford Spring 2019 show. But they were certainly the most shiny, donning metallic suit jackets that GQ calls “something out of a Baz Luhrmann movie.” Someone get them a literary classic in no particular need of an edgy update!
LAVERNE COX at SPRING STUDIOS, TRIBECA
On Wednesday evening, we experienced the week’s second glitter blizzard. Laverne Cox closed out the show at the NYFW debut of plus-size e-commerce retailer 11 Honoré. Cox sashayed in a red Zac Posen gown to Robyn’s “Honey” as glitter poured from the ceiling. Is this the new Lindsay Mykonos dance?
ANNA KHACHIYAN and DASHA NEKRASKOVA at the MALBOROUGH CONTEMPORARY GALLERY, CHELSEA
A different kind of celebrity walked the runway at the Rachel Comey show on Tuesday. Anna Khachiyan and and Dasha Nekrasova, of Red Scare podcast infamy, brought their socialist ire to the well-heeled crowd at the Marlborough Contemporary Gallery in Chelsea. Perhaps the least surprised about their pivot to modeling were the women themselves; back in a Red Scare episode from September 2018, Nekrasova predicted she will be in “high demand” next Fashion Week, with Khachiyan adding, “I’m with you, Dasha…it’s only a matter of time before fashion people take note of us. You look like a Russian schoolgirl and I look like a Chechen urchin who sells MDMA by the subway tracks.”
BRYAN CRANSTON at the WHITNEY, MEATPACKING DISTRICT
This week, Bryan Cranston was seen dining at Untitled, the restaurant at the Whitney Museum on Thursday for a “very chill” lunch date with his wife Robin Dearden, according to Page Six. We can presume they’re there to check out some Warhols. We think Andy would’ve loved to chow down on the restaurant’s famed burger with Dr. Heisenberg.
TWO DOGS and ADRIAN GRENIER at SCARPETTA, MIDTOWN MANHATTAN
According to those dutiful Page Six spies, Adrian Grenier arrived at upscale Italian restaurant Scarpetta on Tuesday with and an entourage of dogs, and of course, a “mystery woman” in tow. “Adrian and his lady friend were kissing in a corner banquette in the restaurant’s bar area,” one said, while their canine cohort “were well-behaved and enjoyed a night out on the town.” We hope the pups got to enjoy some meatballs.
