“It’s Impossible to Get in”: The Gia Giudice Guide to Summer in New York

Perhaps no other child of reality TV stars has left as precocious a legacy as Gia Giudice. Just the mention of her name elicits the sonorous call of “Waking up in the morning, thinking about so many things…”—the notorious refrain from “Gia’s Sad Song,” which she wrote at 10 years old when tensions between her parents hit a boiling point on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Fast forward fourteen years and Gia still sings the song every day, not because she’s stuck in the white-hot center of family turmoil, but because it remains her top request on Cameo. “I more talk it now,” she jokes. “I don’t like, belt it out.” These days, the 24-year-old is busy forging a career of her own in podcasting and influencing, as seen on Next Gen NYC, the new Bravo series in which she and several other Housewives spawn star. Last week, we caught up with the Giudice the Younger to find out what life in the city looks like between arduous New Jersey commutes. She spilled on some of her favorite rooftop bars and Italian restaurants in Soho and the West Village, the vintage bags she’s collecting, and the Riley Burruss/Charlie Zakkour drama, as seen on Next Gen NYC.

ZERO BOND
“I love Bond Street, and this was my first time at Zero Bond. The rooftop is so beautiful. Paris [Hilton] had her launch for her skincare event there, so I got to meet her and her sister and they were so funny. I brought my best friend Lauren with me because she loves everything pink. And they had a little banter when my friend was like, ‘I took a pink Hummer limo into the city for my birthday.’ And Paris was like, ‘I never did that. But I have a pink Bentley.’ It was the most Paris thing I’ve ever heard her say. She was so sweet, and she’s just how she is online in person.”

WEST VILLAGE
“I really do love the West Village. I think it’s so charming. There’s so many places to get drinks and dinner, and it’s such a nice area just to walk around in. I would say West Village and Soho are my favorite neighborhoods. Soho for the shopping and West Village for the atmosphere. But that was such a fun day. I did my promo for Casual Chaos there.”

THE HIGH LINE
“When I’m in the city for work, it mainly consists of my podcast and Amazon. I have a very big relationship with them. And then there are influencer events–which I know people think that it’s just a social hour–but a lot of the time, it’s work. It’s kind of like if you have a corporate job and you’re meeting with a company after work hours for drinks to talk about business. You’re going there to make a connections and to form a relationship with the brand, the social media coordinator or the person who picks the influencers to do their brand deals. So I’m in the Amazon live studio probably twice a week, and then I go to influencer events. The Amazon holiday soiree was their holiday party, which was so sick. Kyle [Cooke] from Summer House was DJing.”

RUBIROSA
“I was doing PR for the show with Sister Snacking. They’re an account on TikTok, they’re four sisters who review restaurants. They’re so cute, and they have great recommendations. Rubirosa is a famous Italian pizzeria in New York. I also did a campaign for Vince Camuto, and one of the restaurants that I filmed the campaign at was Rubirosa. The theme for that campaign was Italian Postcard.”

THE CORNER STORE
“Oh my god, it’s such a good restaurant. If you’ve never been, you have to try. It’s a staple New York restaurant. There’s a lot of hype around it. It’s impossible to get in. Hudson [McLeroy] spends way too much money at the Corner Store, so he has a connect there.”

THE HIGHLIGHT ROOM
“That was an US Weekly event. Me, Ariana [Biermann], Riley [Burruss] and a bunch of Bravo people were there doing press for our show. [On the Riley feud] Riley can hold her own. I think the way she handled the situation was with grace, and she really kept her composure. I don’t think what Charlie said was right, and I don’t think he handled that in the most respectful way. I hope he takes accountability and apologizes to Riley.”

THE COCKTAIL CLUB
“That was a White Fox event. I work heavily with them. Everything I’m wearing is White Fox, but the bag is Jacquemus, and the heels are Gucci. I’m a bag girl. I love a Dior saddle bag. I want to get more into the vintage Dior saddles. I feel like there’s so many good ones out there. Leah from Love Island kills it–all of her Dior saddle bags are just so iconic. I was actually on Kith last night and they had a really cool one, and I was like, whoa, this is so pretty. But yeah, I love my Dior saddle bag. I travel everywhere with my LV duffel. And then the Fendi Pochette bag. I wear that a lot.”

FLYFISH CLUB
“Flyfish is where we had the Next Gen NYC premiere party. It’s such a cool vibe of sushi and seafood. It was incredible. The dress is Christopher Esper. I got it off of Moda Operandi.”

CRAZY PIZZA
“Great, fun restaurant. If you’re kind of looking for that fun European vibe, I would say Crazy Pizza and Kima. Those are fun, napkin-throwing restaurants, very fun vibes. If you’re just looking for a cool, chill vibe, but kind of it gives a sexy feel. Meduza in New York City is also a phenomenal restaurant for Mediterranean food.”
