Welcome to SOUND ADVICE. Interview’s weekly destination for playlists curated by our friends, enemies, and lovers. In recent weeks, we’ve featured playlists from Mckayla Twiggs, María Isabel and Zack Fox. This week, photographer and director Petra Collins is taking the wheel. She’s shot some of the biggest icons of the last two decades, from Kim Kardashian to Billie Eilish, while becoming an It-girl in her own right. Synonymous with fantasy-soaked visions of girlhood, her new book STAR, which came out last week, traces a hazy trip through adolescence told through the eyes of fictional pop stars. To celebrate, she put together a whimsical playlist featuring pop royalty from Madonna to her own muse, Addison Rae.
