Though the contents of late fashion icon Isabella Blow’s inimitable closet were set to be sold at a Christie’s auction this September, it is now being reported that Daphne Guinness has purchased the entire wardrobe in a private sale. Of her decision to acquire the clothing collection, which included 50 hats by Philip Treacy, 90 pieces by Alexander McQueen, and works from John Galliano, Manolo Blahnikshoes, Hussein Chalayan, and Giles Deacon, Guinness said: “It’s Issy–it’s her DNA–it should not be scattered to the four winds… I want it to remain as a monument.”
