Alexander McQueen and H Huntsman Suit Each Other

Classic meets classically chic, as H Huntsman has teamed up with Alexander McQueen on a made-to-order collection. Alexander McQueen by Huntsman intermingles the traditional Saville Row style of Huntsman and the modern design of Alexander McQueen. Pieces from the collection debuted at Alexander McQueen’s AW 11/12 showcase in Milan. “The finished look is very British and very Saville Row, something we were delighted with as we consistently seek to flag up the prowess of British designers and British craft.  All the garments were individually hand cut, trimmed and made on our premises by three of our highly talented tailors,” says Patrick Murphy, head cutter at Huntsman. “The collaboration gives Huntsman a fantastic opportunity to show off what we do whilst throwing us new challenges in terms of working with a more design-led product.”

Murphy says Hunstman has a thing or to do teach the fashion world at large: “It is great to work with a new audience, educating them on the craft that goes into their clothing.”
