First Dibs: Burberry Prorsum Pre-Fall 2014 Look 10
All eyes might be on Miami, but we’ve got London on the mind. For Burberry Prorsum pre-fall 2014, Christopher Bailey looked to the late 19th-century English Arts and Crafts movement, which championed handcrafted designs in the face of industry. We love how the Look 10 St. Paul’s Cathedral-sketch tee and jacquard skirt just hint at the Victorian, while the versatile black fur jacket feels very Bermondsey–London’s up-and-coming artsy-fashion district. It’s old-meets-new, and we’re calling first dibs. Also, for the record, we don’t really care if Bailey didn’t stitch each thread himself. Sorry, artisans!
THIS FIRST DIBS WAS SELECTED BY ASSISTANT ACCESSORIES EDITOR MELISSA KARL.
