The Front Row’s Painted Woman: Beth Ditto

As varying body shapes are still the buzz in fashion, Beth Ditto’s continues the reign as the plus-size poster girl. The singer’s been a front row fixture at the top shows at Paris Fashion Week, but she’s making as much statement with her makeup as she does with her shapely figure. Part Louise Brooks, part Magica De Spell, there’s nothing understated about her makeup this season.  She consistently wore a full cat eye with a gradient shadow and pencil-thin brows. On her lips, she varied from hot pink at Stella McCartney to a deep plum at Givenchy, with even a two-toned, dark lined and lighter filled-in shade at John Galliano.  With her black bob, her look mixed silent star glamour and cartoon villian.
