Aurora James entered the fashion world at an early age: When she was just 15, she had her first internship at Next Models in Toronto. After studying fashion and journalism at Ryerson University, James began working for Jeanne Beker at Fashion Television. Following a formative visit to Morocco in 2011, in 2013 James launched her own line of footwear, Brother Vellies, collaborating closely with artisans in South Africa, Kenya, and Morocco. Brother Vellies is committed to sustainability in all forms: a rainwater purification system at their Ethiopia tannery contributes clean water to the community, their employees receive fair wages and training, and their vegetable-dyed leather products are chrome-free.

When we asked James to share 10 items on her Valentine’s Day wish list as part of a special edition Consumption series created with Tiffany & Co., love was very much a theme on her mind: “The number one thing the world needs right now is more love.”

THIS SPECIAL EDITION OF OUR CONSUMPTION SERIES WAS CREATED IN COLLABORATION WITH TIFFANY & CO. TO CELEBRATE CREATIVE WOMEN AND THE THINGS THAT INSPIRE THEM. FOR MORE FROM THE SERIES, CLICK HERE
