TikTok Queen Emira D’Spain Tells Us How to Prepare For a Booty Call

Have you ever gone to Zero Bond, spied a hot guy, ordered a margarita, licked the salt off the rim, and seduced him? No? Well, Emira D’Spain—our collective older sister and GRWM guru—has, and she’s here to teach us a thing or two. Her videos feel like FaceTiming your slightly-more-wild friend as you curl up with a cup of tea and she snakes her way into a latex dress, her skin silky and glam. Born in Dubai before moving to New York to attend NYU (where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, by the way),  D’Spain began her beauty career as an intern for Paper Magazine before quitting to pursue social media full time. And while she certainly does influence (watch one video and you’ll be convinced that Kosas foundation will change your life), her beauty tips feel like the advice of a friend who’s simply looking out for you. “Come with me to get a vagina” she opened a vlog documenting her gender confirmation surgery last year. In 2022, she was the first Black trans model to work with Victoria’s Secret. Coming full circle, this year she appeared on the cover of Paper‘s January issue. Naturally, we were curious how D’Spain spends her time online, so we slid into her DMs to find out what she’s googling, who she’s following, and how she prepares for a booty call.

D’SPAIN: I did… mother is officially boo’d up! the best way to approach a guy is through my three-step signature Emira move! It works like magic.

D’SPAIN: Order a skinny marg with salt, once you find a target give them a subtle look, once. Look away… look back… take a sip from your drink, not sexy but cutesy. Then, once they look back at you, don’t look at them and lick the rim of your marg and take a sip of your drink.

KING-CLEMENTS: Seems fool-proof. What bar are we at? 

D’SPAIN: The bar at Zero Bond, of course! Or The Blond, tbh.

KING-CLEMENTS: Pre-mystery BF, what’s your GRWM routine for a booty call?

D’SPAIN: Okay, well it starts with an EVERYTHING shower: the First Aid Beauty KP bump eraser body scrub + an african net sponge to go IN and get my body silky smooth, then the dove sensitive skin body wash, and the fresh beauty body wash. Obviously, shave, then when I get out of the shower: the Sol de Janeiro Delicia drench body butter and the Nécessaire body lotion + the Sol de Janerio body oil. Your skin will literally be silk.

KING-CLEMENTS: The way I’m going to get all of these. What underrated product would you like to gate-keep?

D’SPAIN: Hmmm, I think the REM Beauty Foundation needs more hype. She simply is THAT girl.
