Lipps Service: Hot Child in the City
In our Friday feature, Lipps Service, One Model Management owner Scott Lipps shares photos from his fabulous life with us once a week, right here. This week started with a bang, literally: high atop the Jane Hotel, where Paz de la Huerta accompanied Scott to watch the fireworks with a hipster Who’s Who. Fashion, music, and flannel collided atop the tiny rooftop as Scott watched fireworks with the likes of Prabal Gurung, Ryan McGinley, Frankie Rayder, Terry Richardson, Carlos Quirarte and Matt Kliegman of The Smile, amongst others. The view was spectacular, until the inclined roof we were standing on all but collapsed. It was time for the next adventure: A “quiet” dinner with Francesco Carrozzini and bandmate Courtney Love on Friday out east in the Hamptons, then off to Love Heals at Luna Farm to celebrate the AIDS charity’s 20-year anniversary. Next up: Montauk, to visit friend, photographer, and resident DJ Ben Watts and hit up Watts’ new Shark Attack Sounds party – unfortunately, the cops shut it down in no time, but Scott did snap some pics of fellow fashionites, including Dree Hemingway. Uncle Rush—better known as Russell Simmons—hosted his annual Fourth of July party at his Hamptons house with a host of models: Linda V, Kenza, and Nicole Trufio. Back in the city, it was business as usual: dinners with supermodels Selita Ebanks and Eva Herzigova (making a rare New York appearance) and the premiere of Freida Pinto’s Trishna, dinner with Jack Osbourne. All of a sudden it’s a new week!
