DO YOU HAVE ANY RITUALS OR SUPERSTITIONS? If I have to choose from a stack of things, I can only choose from the highest stack. So if there are stacks of plates at a buffet, I have to take a plate from the highest stack. Because the way the podium is situated in wrestling, the first place spot is the center. So if I’m in a bathroom, I’ll look for the first place urinal.

DO YOU HAVE A RECURRING DREAM?  I’ve dreamed on numerous occasions that I’ve lost the biggest event in my life, and there was absolutely nothing that I could do about it.

LAST MEAL: Bacon cheeseburger, mushrooms, barbecue sauce, sautéed onions, pepper jack cheese, a pretzel bun, lettuce. I’d have sweet potato fries on the side and freshly squeezed lemonade. Vanilla milkshake. And then for dessert, I’d have either crème brûlée or a crepe.

DREAM DINNER-PARTY GUEST: Kobe or maybe Magic Johnson. Magic transcended sport. Everyone loved him, and he was more successful after his career was over than he was as an athlete. I think every athlete is afraid for their career to be over. I’d like to chat with him—”How’d you do it?”
