Candid Camera
What happens when you curate a show gathering new work from six iconic photographers—including William Eggleston, Nan Goldin, and Ryan McGinley—in which the central theme is not the work produced but the camera used? According to Ken Miller, who curated the traveling exhibition “Photography” for Fujifilm’s X Series, that depends on the camera: “A lot of the time when you’re asked to do a project like this, it’s the most awkward, forced thing,” he notes. “But this one was a no-brainer. It’s Fuji.” The show makes its U.S. debut January 31 at Aperture Gallery in New York.
