As a producer, 88 Keys has worked with the likes of Kanye West, Q-Tip, and Mos Def, amongst others. But with the release of his debut in November, The Death of Adam (Deacon), the 32-year-old Bronx native finally takes his own turn in front of the mic. Featuring production work by Brook D’Leau, Peter Wade, and others, the meticulously crafted concept album dips into experimental pop, electro-funk, and classic soul, chronicling his protagonist’s journey from first love to baby mama drama to untimely demise.
