French luxe ready-to-wear brand Zadig & Voltaire is known for its mastery of the sex, drugs, and rock ’n’ roll aesthetic—Alison Mosshart, Mark Ronson, and Joséphine de La Baume have all participated in previous campaigns. This season, the brand takes this recipe of tailored rebellion to another level, as it introduces model Erin Wasson as the face of its Spring/Summer 2011 and Fall/Winter 2011/2012 lines. (She will design a capsule collection of about 20 pieces to debut in October.) Meanwhile, jewelry designer Gaia Repossi is creating a heavy-metal line that Wasson coolly dons with trademark androgyny—and completely in tune with the house’s relaxed yet sexy spirit.
