Hedi Slimane’s Fall 2013 collection, his second for the newly dubbed Saint Laurent label, had the fashion world in a tizzy with its bafflingly simple grunge pieces. It was apparently so egregious that the words, “Urban Outfitters” were hissed by fashion editors after the runway show (fashion consumers found much more to like). The “three strikes and you’re out” rule need not be enforced, though—yet—following the brand’s successful presentation of their Resort 2014 collection. The looks are less grunge and more monochrome, with a little hint of biker-chic for good measure. We’re keen on this low-back little black dress (say that five times fast), which is both elegant and sexy.
