CAMPERLAB Is Turning Technical Sneakers Into Playground Floors
The future is sexy with Tossu, a technical CAMPERLAB sneaker scientifically designed for comfort and sustainability. Created using recycled materials and an innovative bonded design that eliminates the need for glue, the Tossu reiterates CAMPERLAB’s commitment to zero-waste production. The shoe can also be brought back to any CAMPER store to be turned into playground floors, a fun, circular approach the brand has adopted to counteract the growing problem of fashion waste. To highlight the new silhouette, CAMPERLAB collaborated with 3D artist Frederik Heyman (who has created science-fiction dreamscape installations for the likes of Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Arca) on a video that highlights the shoe’s exaggerated rubber outsole and high-tech knit interior. In a sneaker landscape that leans heavily on archival design, the Tossu feels like a step beyond.
