The Situation’s Daddy Issue

The Internet has been buzzing today after it came to light that Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino—from MTV’s infamous “reality” TV show Jersey Shore, as if you need reminding—is planning on suing his estranged father for defamation. Apparently, Mike’s father, Frank Sorrento, was a little irritated that his son was not returning his phone calls, so he decided to release a series of video rants about his son, with relatively straightforward, and almost poetic, titles like F___ the little F____. (Confidential to Frank: we find that guilt-inducing voicemails are typically more effective in persuading prodigal children to come a-calling.) The site hosting the videos? “The Confrontation.”

Frank initially refused to take down the site, but it appears he has had a change of heart—or possibly reconsidered after a review of his bank account. As of this afternoon, the website has been taken down; hopefully, it’s for good, and not just while Sorrentino père considers his next Michael Lohan-esque move. We feel for you, Mike, but could this be karma for the time you outed Sammi for hooking up with some dude while she was on a break from Ronnie? It’s food for thought.
