We're going to go out on a limb here and say that Francisco Costa has been watching Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Yesterday at Calvin Klein models channeled Lisbeth Salander (aka front-row guest Rooney Mara) with nude make-up, slicked-back dark hair or blunt bangs, black leather, and sheer-paneled, decollage revealing dresses—a Mara red-carpet favorite.   ARTICLE PUBLISHED: 02/17/12

Proenza Schouler, always a NYFW highlight, revamped downtown style by combining traditional Eastern (think Samurai) and futuristic elements. Sophia Kokosalaki's collection for Diesel Black Gold focused on outwear (from leopard print to leather, sheerling and denim) and slouchy cropped trousers and skirts. Models wore marble-printed booties or ankle-strap pumps, and carried studded hobo bags.
