Spring Hair Trends, Straight from the Runway

Fashion Weeks come and go, but it’s difficult to actually pinpoint the impetus of a specific beauty trend. Sure, trends start on runways, from the masterful hands of the artists who create the styles we see for the first time at shows and presentations. Then celebrities test them out, posing on red carpets from Hollywood to Hong Kong. And finally, the trickle-down effect lands these trends, in some modified form, on the everyday people of our great cities.
We thought it would be fun—and educational—to follow the spring trends from the beginning: the runway. So we called on hair mastermind and celebrity stylist Jen Atkin, of The Wall Group, to lead us in the right direction. From Proenza to Prabal, here are six spring hair trends that started last S/S Fashion Week and are finally making their way onto our manes.
