Isabel Marant Wants You to Dance With Somebody—Anybody

It has officially been a whole year since quarantine kicked in and became life as we know it, and the whole world wants to dance. The world needs to dance. That’s the spirit behind Isabel Marant’s F/W 21 collection, which the brand describes as an “ode to the long-lost parties”—and we’re here for the vibes.

The collection was presented in the form of a video shot outside of Paris. The models, including Adut Akech, Mica Argañaraz, Loli Bahia, Malick Bodian, He Cong, and Leon Dame stomped to a psychedelic-meets-folk beat from Gabber Eleganza, a collective dedicated to “building up a bridge between the sonic landscape and aesthetic side of Hardcore and post-rave cultures.” Cowboy boots were made for walking, and that’s just what these Isabel Marant iterations do, paired with versatile staples that could easily fit into anyone’s closet. From LSD-looking flower patterns to shearling boleros and electric blue vinyl fabrics the future of partying according to Isabel Marant looks sparkly and filled with vibrating dance music. What would Janice Joplin wear if she were to attend a techno rave in the Texas desert? Well, the entire Isabel Marant collection. Let’s boogie, cowgirls.
