Sarah Jessica Parker, Patti Smith, and Anna Wintour’s Chili: This Week’s NYC Celeb News Map

With Taurus season upon us, the stars were aligned for a week of buzzy celeb fetes — and chili. SARAH JESSICA PARKER, ANDY COHEN, PATTI SMITH, RALPH FIENNES, BIANCA JAGGER, and MIKHAIL BARYSHNIKOV at the METROGRAPH, LOWER EAST SIDE, MANHATTAN

Some of our favorite New York icons turned out for the premier of the new Ralph Fiennes-directed film The White Crow — including Carrie Bradshaw herself, and her ex Aleksandr “The Russian” Petrovsky (the real life ballet dancer Mikhael Baryshnikov). We’re told there were no hard feelings, though Mr. Big was nowhere in sight.

SANDRA OH, HASAN MINHAJ, RICHARD MADDEN, EMILIA CLARKE, AND MORE at JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER, UPPER WEST SIDE, MANHATTAN

The annual TIME 100 gala brought all the stars imaginable to Lincoln Center on Tuesday night. Taylor Swift performed merely days before the sudden release of her highly polarizing single “ME!” Hasan Minhaj delivered a viral speech paying tribute to the Saudi activist Loujain al-Hathloul and asked Jared Kushner to help release her from prison. Sandra Oh toasted Beyoncé. And our personal favorite moment: Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke reunited with former co-star — and Interview cover star — Richard Madden.

JAKE GYLLENHAAL at SOME DOWNTOWN ART FRAMING STORE, MANHATTAN

We’re avid fans of Jake Gyllenhaal here at Interview, and it’s often we’re tempted to put him in the Star Map after frequent run-ins on Canal Street. But an overheard conversation in a downtown art framing store has cemented his status as an icon in our eyes. According to Page Six, the owner of a downtown art framing store assured a collector who came in concerned it was too vain to get a portrait of himself framed that “Jake Gyllenhaal comes in all the time and I’ve never framed something for him that’s not a picture of himself.” You know what they say about loving yourself first, or something like that.

ANNA WINTOUR at the CIRCLE IN THE SQUARE THEATRE, MIDTOWN, MANHATTAN

The chicest woman alive has officially made chili chic. Anna Wintour was spotted waiting in line for chili and cornbread at the production of Oklahoma! at the Circle in the Square Theatre this week. According to those dutiful Page Six “spies,” she was “decked out in a purple floor-length leather coat and her trademark sunglasses.” Now with Wintour’s imprimatur, other celebs get in line for this middle-America fare: Diane Keaton, Jessica Lange and Marisa Tomei. Chili for dinner? Groundbreaking.
