Lana Del Rey stans trust @lanadelreybr, and for good reason. Well-known amongst the Lana stan brain trust, it’s the account one goes to if they want to know what’s happening with our March 2023 cover star before anyone else. The account posts constantly, several times a day, and appears to contain nearly every selfie LDR’s ever taken, across her multiple eras. Now, at long last, Lana is coming to Brazil, so we asked Samuel, the young and studious Lana stan who runs the account, to answer some invasive questions about his internet habits for this week’s SEARCH HISTORY.

INTERVIEW: A/S/L?

LANADELREYBR (SAMUEL): 18, Male, Brazil.

 INTERVIEW: What’s the first thing you do when you wake up? 

LANADELREYBR: I open Instagram and Twitter and always try to keep up with Lana Del Rey news.

INTERVIEW: What’s in your bag?

LANADELREYBR: Camel cigarettes, cell phone and headset, and a bottle of water.

 INTERVIEW: What’s in your system? 

LANADELREYBR: In Brazil, we have a culture of opting for more natural foods in our daily diet, and I love the mixture of beans and rice, accompanied by salads and fruit juices.

INTERVIEW: What were your last three Google searches?

LANADELREYBR: “Lana Del Rey Interview Magazine“, “Terrence loves you” and “Honeymoon Album”.

 INTERVIEW: What’s your online stalking platform of choice?

LANADELREYBR: Instagram, for sure.

INTERVIEW: What’s your favorite Lana era? Your least favorite? 

LANADELREYBR: The Lust for Life era is my favorite because it’s the first one I was able to follow from the beginning, although Honeymoon and its aesthetic have been my favorite for like six years in a row, and I particularly love all eras.

INTERVIEW: How long have you listened to Lana? Do you feel like she evolves with her fans?

LANADELREYBR: I have been a fan for 7 years and yes, she evolves with her fans!!! All the albums have been delivered magnificently, it’s touching, it’s pure art. She definitely understands her fans and I feel a huge connection to her through her songs.

INTERVIEW: Which Lana song is the most meaningful to you?

LANADELREYBR: “The Blackest Day” is for sure one of Lana’s best compositions.

INTERVIEW: Does Lana follow you?

LANADELREYBR: No, unfortunately she doesn’t follow me yet.

INTERVIEW: What do you think of her switch to @honeymoon?

LANADELREYBR: It was something that happened suddenly, but with her clarification to the public I found it necessary since, according to her, her future projects required privacy and transparency.

INTERVIEW: How do you feel about people leaking her music?

LANADELREYBR: It’s a sad thing, her songs mean a lot to her and I’m pretty sure she didn’t want us to hear it!!! And the leaks make it difficult for the song to perform in the music charts.

INTERVIEW: Obviously everyone is obsessed with the Lana stash necklace. What’s your dream Lana merch? 

LANADELREYBR: I think the violet and blue vinyl with alternative Ultraviolence cover. 

INTERVIEW: Favorite unreleased Lana song?

LANADELREYBR: “Fine China,” definitely.

INTERVIEW: Favorite music video?

LANADELREYBR: I love the music video for “Doin’ Time.”

 INTERVIEW: Favorite member of Lana’s entourage? 

LANADELREYBR: Chuck Grant or Taylor Swift.

INTERVIEW: Describe your private browsing persona in three words.

LANADELREYBR: Music, doubts and curiosity.

INTERVIEW: What’s a website everyone should know about?

LANADELREYBR: Cinemadafundacao.com.br. It is a space for the collection, cataloging, preservation, training, research and dissemination of film productions made in Pernambuco. In addition to films, it brings together collections such as scripts, posters, production sheets and photographs. Its main focus is preservation and dissemination in digital format.

INTERVIEW: How many unread text messages do you have?

LANADELREYBR: Zero, but I probably couldn’t answer everyone.

INTERVIEW: Read receipts: on or off?

LANADELREYBR: Definitely off.

INTERVIEW: Can you describe your most incriminating accidental email/text?

LANADELREYBR: I always send everything very carefully so as not to have one.

INTERVIEW: Choose one: money or clout.

LANADELREYBR: As a woman once said: “Money is the anthem of success.” I prefer money.
