MOCAtv Premieres Feast of Burden

Last night at MOCA, director Jeffrey Deitch invited a host of the West Coast art world's habitués to celebrate the museum's (and possibly any museum's) first fully funded art-film YouTube series, Feast of Burden. The series, a super-saturated and surreal collection of 12 five-minute episodes directed by Eugene Kotlyarenko, finds a group of good friends trapped by supernatural forces at a never-ending dinner party where death and mayhem show up uninvited. Cast members Tsien-Tsien Zhang, Lauren Avery, Morgan Krantz, Carlos Morera, and LaPorscha Wynne were all on hand for the private screening of the premiere, which will debut online on November 19. Also in attendance were artists Chris Johanson, Amanda Ross-Ho, and Ryan Trecartin.
