With its thick velvet drapes, roaring fireplace, vaulted ceilings, and smoked disco ball, the baroque atmosphere of The Jane Hotel Ballroom made a perfect home for this year's The Smile/Kanon Organic Vodka Halloween party, hosted by Matt Kliegman, Carlos Quirarte, and Nate Lowman. Quirarte says that the Halloween tradition, now in its fourth year, began because "we actually owed Sean [MacPherson, owner of the Bowery Hotel and The Jane] money, so we did the party at The Bowery just to kind of pay off our debt, and it was such a success that we kept doing it."—KATIE MENDELSON
