In a post-Cynthia Rowley, post-Sean MacPherson world, no such isolation is possible. Chanel has been bringing on all kinds of new talent to act as brand ambassadors; their latest is 46-year-old surf legend Laird Hamilton, who is putting in time to support the new J12 Marine watch with a party in Montauk.
