SOUND ADVICE

Genre-Bending London Boy Bakar Takes Our Sound Advice Questionnaire

This is SOUND ADVICE, a weekly destination for playlists curated by Interview’s friends, enemies, and lovers. This week’s installment comes from Bakar, the London boy with music so smooth he turns on his own songs when he’s high. Bakar debuted his new single “Good News” at last month’s Givenchy Men’s F/W 2023 show, for which he also composed the soundtrack. Even so, Bakar made time to send us a playlist—”something light to help you get through your day,” as he describes it—and answer our questionnaire below, in which he declares his loyalty to wired headphones, announces the best album cover of all time, and plays “fuck, kill, marry” with music streaming services.
