The book-stealing heist thriller you need to see

The first trailer for Sundance Film Festival standout American Animals looks like a fast-paced ride through the library.

Based on a true story, the film centers on a group of Lexington, Kentucky teens who don ridiculous disguises to raid the library’s rare book collection—worth $10 million. The page-turning catch? This chapter doesn’t go according to plan.

Barry Keoghan, Evan Peters, Blake Jenner, and Jared Abrahamson round out the all-male lead cast (they have moms though!) of this indie heist thriller. American Animals also marks a director Barry Layton’s, of the BAFTA award-winning doc The Imposter [2012], first narrative feature.

Bookmark this film, which hits theaters on June 1.
