First Dibs: Givenchy Spring 2017 Couture Look 12
Yesterday, WWD reported that after 12 years at the brand, Riccardo Tisci is departing his post as the creative director of Givenchy. Their Spring 2017 couture collection, which debuted at the tail end of Tisci’s fall menswear show in Paris last month, is Tisci’s last for the maison. Look 12 from that line-up, a slinky, sparkly, layered fishnet evening ensemble with asymmetric cuts and feather fripperies, is but one design from the collection that embodies Tisci’s signature MO: darkly romantic glamour. Think of it as an update of Cher in that iconic Bob Mackie, refigured for 2017. We call first dibs.
