Lil Nas X Is Entering His Christian Era with Coach
Last month, while teasing new music, Lil Nas X announced that he was entering what he called his Christian era. “I’ve just become a very spiritual person over the last few years,” the rapper told us last week. As it turns out, Nas is worshipping at the altar of Stuart Vevers, with whom he’s created a new capsule collection for Coach that drops today. Copious in both color and texture, from shearling and leather to denim and faux-fur, the line is a bright-hued ode to “exploring and celebrating all of who you are,” Vevers said—and the joyful, provocative spirit of Lil Nas X himself. To mark the “Lil Nas X Drop,” we asked the rapper a few personal questions about the line.
These pieces are perfect for partying. Can you describe your ideal night out?
My ideal night out is at a gay club with my friends and leaving with a cute boy.
If you gave this drop a soundtrack, what songs would you include?
No one, just me. I’m the best <3
What’s your most worn piece from this collection?
Probably the orange shearling coat, it’s cute.
What’s your go-to studio fit?
Really depends on the mood and where I’m coming from that day. I’m always showing up in different types of fits though with different hair looks and everything.
Who are your biggest influences for your “Christian Era”?
Not anyone in particular, I’ve just become a very spiritual person over the last few years. You’ll have to wait and see for more.
What’s your holy grail accessory?
Honestly probably the lollipop earring.
