Matt Tyrnauer's Valentino: The Last Emperor, the documentary featuring the aforementioned regal designer, screened at MoMA at a very crisp 7 PM. But the deities—Madonna, Martha Stewart, Blythe Danne and Gwyneth Paltrow, Ann Hathaway and Claire Danes—descended afterwards on the Plaza for a private dinner co-hosted by Gilt Groupe and Quintessentially.
Interview's Hanuk recalls approaching Madonna for a picture: "She
looked at me up and down, smiled and said, 'How much money you got?' I said 'A dollar.' She goes, 'Hand it over.' So I did. Then she asked me to rip it in half, give half to her and her friend. She put half of my dollar in her bag."
And he got the pictures!
