We've been waiting all week for those special fashion week invitations—we've been using Betsey Johnson's oven mitt all week to cook low-cal fritters. But our real favorite was this gem for Vena Cava's presentation, which we opened with considerable glee on Friday. It's a cut amethyst, and was delivered in a large display box and all. How could we think of throwing this one away after the show end. I still have my pet rock, and have added to my collection with recent jewelry using raw rocks and gems. Vena Cava's inventive invite will go on my mantle next to jewelry by Melissa Joy Manning, Dean Harris, and Unearthen.
