At the start of 2013, Chris Lynch and his Gardens & Villa bandmates were boarding a plane to Benton Harbor, Michigan, where they would record the follow-up to their 2011 self-titled debut. The trip proved to be a long, claustrophobic, and at times arduous one for the California boys.
