Vivienne Westwood is the party responsible for Pharrell William’s apparently Canadian Mountie-inspired hat at the 2014 Grammys. We think, however, the rapper did not really do it justice. On the London runway for her “Red Label” collection last week, Westwood’s eclectic vision was fully and playfully realized in the form of retro silhouettes—cinched at the waist, and topped off with a few triumphant head accessories including cowboy and pillbox hats. Vampy dresses, mostly in red, gave off a ’50s pinup vibe and lent a sultry glow to several more conservative gray looks and voluminous trench coats. Granted, it didn’t hurt that models were sporting a luscious red lip and masses of bedhead ringlets.
