“I always want to be comfortable being myself,” emphasizes Selena Forrest. Originally from Louisiana, Forrest relocated to California with her family after Hurricane Katrina. She was first scouted on her way to Huntington Beach, and famously removed her own braces with pliers so she could start modeling. Since making her runway debut opening Proenza Schouler in September of 2015, Forrest has starred in campaigns for the brand, as well as for Saint Laurent, Topshop, DKNY, and H&M. Though she’s still only in her teens, she’s already covered i-D and The New York Times Style Magazine.
