Brie Larson walked the red carpet at the premiere of her new movie Captain Marvel, the studio’s first female-led superhero film — with a custom hot pink “Captain” clutch in tow, in case you forget. Larson was in good company: fellow Oscar-nominated actress Annette Bening, who also stars in the film, joined her at the Henry R. Luce Auditorium at Brookfield Place. “It is a movie about female power because it stars Brie Larson,” Bening told PIX11. “So the girls are taking over.” Indeed.

French film icon Isabelle Huppert was seen on Friday night at New York nightlife empresario Susanne Bartsch’s “Bartschland Follies,” a recurring cabaret show at the McKittrick Hotel in Chelsea. We can only hope the ever-dignified Huppert got onstage with the drag queens and fire-breathers.

ROGER ALVARADO, TAYLOR SWIFT’S STALKER at TAYLOR SWIFT’S TOWNHOUSE, TRIBECA, MANHATTAN

Upon his release from jail last month, Roger Alvarado, a repeated stalker of Taylor Swift, was seen once again breaking into the singer’s home in Tribeca. Alvarado was caught “scowling” for the cameras on Thursday around 2:20 a.m., and was brought to Manhattan criminal court for stalking, burglary, and felony for violating an order of protection. A police source told Page Six Alvarado had used a construction ladder to climb onto a connecting building on Leonard Street, before smashing a a glass door on Swift’s second-floor balcony with a brick, which triggered a security alarm. Here’s hoping Taylor can shake him off.
