Casting Call: Charlie's Angels

We are still rooting for Idris Elba to takeover as James Bond, but in the meantime, we think he'd make an excellent Bosley. Throughout the Charlie's Angels franchise, John Bosley has been the face of the anonymous leader Charlie. Elba is no stranger to high profile action films, from Prometheus to Pacific Rim and we're confident he can tackle a comedy.

In 2000's Charlie's Angels, Natalie Cook (played Cameron Diaz) was a goofball with free-spirited tendencies. She was outgoing and didn't hold back, whether she was picking up men at the bar, or fighting bad guys alongside the other Angels. We imagine there will be a similar Angel in the remake, and we'd like to recommend Anna Kendrick for the role.

Aubrey Plaza is the perfect actress to fill a role like that of Alex Munday (played Lucy Liu). Alex is a smart woman who kicks butt intellectually and physically.

Originally played by Drew Barrymore, Dylan Sanders is quick-witted and has a taste for the wild side. For the reboot, we imagine Greta Lee (Sisters, New Girl) taking on the equivalent of this role. From her previous performances we know Lee has a talent for playing characters that combine humor with biting aggression.

Amber Stevens West, who played Ice Cube's daughter in 22 Jump Street, would be a great actress to take on the character of Vivian Wood. In 22 Jump Street, West's unconventional beauty and charm made her character a little more intriguing than they usual love interest, and we'd like to see her do a little more as the conniving Vivian.

In the first Charlie's Angels film, movie Eric Knox was a cocky and disillusioned semi-villain played by Sam Rockwell. We think Chris Pine would be a great pick for this character.
