I call mine ‘the kids,' too. They've got a perspective that's 25 years younger than me, so lots of strange ideas and the bravery to do anything, including posing naked on Leroy Street against the backdrop of our studio doodles while wearing this fall's heels, drawing crowds and stopping traffic." —Rob Pruitt

"Inspired by Warhol's Campbell's soup cans installation at MoMA, I thought I would do each bottle on its own canvas in a grid. I love the populism and cultural relatability of Warhol and postmodernism as well as warmth, painterliness, and transcendent qualities of the modernists and the old masters. To get the essence scent, I sprayed some on the canvas and on myself. Each was unique, so unlike sameness of the soup cans. I hope that's symbolic of our wold now., where we can celebrate our individuality as much as we can acknowledge how much we are alike in a corporate-commodity structure." —Keith Mayerson
