Casting Call: Rolling Stones Exile on Main Street

Like Wood, Stones' drummer Charlie Watts lacked the rock star affectations of the band's more visible members. Several years older than the other members, and well into his thirties during the Stones' French exile, we think the always poised, yet always intense Cillian Murphy could channel Watts' composure, especially with the same piercing blue eyes and musical background as the legendary drummer.

Richards kept girlfriend and muse, Italian-born Anita Pallenberg, by his side for the duration of recording. Anita had previously dated former Stones' member Brian Jones and later, had an affair with Jagger. Blond, beautiful, indecisive, and wantonly self destructive? Sienna Miller should be receiving her call time any day.

Even though at 68, Keith Richards appears to be about 90, in his late twenties he looked more or less his age. To enact the years of self-imposed physical abuse and heroine use that accelerated Richards' aging, we suggest actor and musician Iwan Rheon. The 26 year old Welshman has starred in the British production of Spring Awakening and cult hit Misfits. His Misfits character was sometimes invisible, sometimes precognitive, and could produce another version of himself. Since Richards was probably high enough for most of 1972 to believe he could do all of the above, we think Rheon's resume is suitable.

Critics have noted that, where Keith Richards appears the hero in Greenfield's account, Mick Jagger was the bully. Jack O'Connoll plays a self destructive yet irresistibly charming anti-hero in teen drama Skins, and dare we say, moves a bit like Jagger. We've never heard his singing voice, but O'Connell's Jagger-like full lips and scrappy frame make the cut.

Bianca Jagger was a thorn in the side of the Rolling Stones, interrupting Mick's already compromised attention span and luring her beau away from the job in the middle of production. Interview founder Andy Warhol adored Mrs. Jagger, and we'll always have a soft spot for the brown eyed beauty with perfect symmetry. We cast our current girl crush, Mila Kunis, as our perennial darling Bianca.

Before Ronnie Wood, the Rolling Stones drummer for most of their career, there was Mick Taylor. Jagger has called Taylor a 'virtuoso' and the most professional among the rambunctious rock cabal. Salmon Fishing in Yemem break out star Tom Mison has the quiet poise and furrowed brow to pull off Taylor's firm treatment of easily distracted band members, rumored to be the only member willing to confront the drug addled Richards.
