The Grammys' Best and Worst-Tressed

BEST: Ciara

She's beautiful! Loving the long locks, very bohemian. And the makeup is just the right amount of lash with just the right amount of color
and gloss. But what really has us going wild is her incredible, outrageously perfect arches... brow envy!

BEST: Jennifer Hudson

She looks fab with 80 pounds less fat and 100 percent more confidence. We've very keen on her long, straight locks (this seems to be a trend, reference Ciara too) and that bluish-gray smokey eye and nude lip. She has ever the slightest hint of highlights at the tips of her hair, which add definition and texture and a contemporary twist.

WORST: Eva Longoria

Hey, Eva, who are you trying to channel here? At first glance, we could have sworn this was Kim Kardashian. It really looks like her, doesn't it? And those lashes, Eva! They're way too fake, and by fake we mean long and unbelievable. You're too old to be painting your face like a teenybopper.

BEST: Esperanza Spalding

If you don't know her yet, you'll know her now. She just beat out Justin Bieber and a slew of other artist for Best New Artist, but we've got to give her credit for Best Hair. That is one groovy 'fro—like a blast from the past. And, of course, she pulls it off so effortlessly because of her beautiful features, very little makeup, shiny lips, a focus on lashes and liner—and that's about it!

WORST: Selma Blair

What was she doing at the Grammys? Apparently, nominated for Best Spoken Word Album. So, okay, if you're going to show up, put in some effort. It looks like Selma's off to the supermarket, not the red carpet. She's got that "I'm-bored-and-too-good-to-be-here" look in her eyes. Hey, at least she splurged for lip gloss. Even if it is just clear.

BEST: Kelly Osbourne

It's crazy to think that this is the same girl that grew up with us on MTV's reality family dramedy. She's looking fierce! After many a transformation, Kelly's really come into her own. The haircut and color suit her, her skin looks pristine, and her makeup is actually pretty, not crazy and irrational. Bravo!

WORST: Lea Michele

We are such fans of this little singer, but we're just not feeling her look last night. Something's amiss. Her hair's all right, much ado about nothing, makeup is fine, again, not a lot to love or loathe, and the lip is at least a statement, a bold burst of magenta color. But we're just not feeling the entire look, together. Maybe she needed more rock, less retro.

BEST: Nicki Minaj

One word: genius. It's like war of the divas: Lady Gaga vs. Nicki Minaj. Would we wear this insane hairdo out in public? Never. Do we give her props for doing so? Absolutely. This is rock! Take note. P.S. Sparkly eyeliner and fluorescent pink lips? Oh my! Do not try this at home.

WORST: Jennifer Lopez

J. Lo is a sexy mama, but she's still got her on days and her off days. Last night was an off day. First of all, her hair is so long, it goes beyond the borders of this photograph. Get a trim, woman. Secondly, we're thinking her signature dark eye, light lip could have been switched out for something a little more rock and roll—perhaps a red lip and cat eye? Just a thought. We're getting a little tired of the same old J. Lo. Mix it up a bit.

BEST: Florence Welch

Loving the candy-apple-red hair. She makes no apologies for her lack of makeup: just a few coats of mascara and a mauve/pinkish lippy. There's something very hippie-ish about her attitude, and we love it. Rock on, woman!
