Faces of Fashion Week, Part II

Phillip Lim "The looks are best described by saying they have the spirit of a modern female dandy–city girls in their strength but subtly whimsical. Each girl is elegant with a sense of buoyancy," said designer Phillip Lim. "Youthful elegance was what we were aiming for. No shine...polished, radiant skin, with dimension through sculpted cheeks," said Lisa Butler for Nars.

Alex Wang "The look is all about the downtown art scene–the hair is quite complex, so we decided to keep the face really fresh and young," said Diane Kendal for MAC.

Sophie Theallet "We wanted to fuse together both color and light. We were inspired by Chavela Vargas, the Mexican singer. Polished and bright–and coinciding with the prints of the clothing," said Lena Koro, NARS International Makeup Artist.

Betsey Johnson "Bright pops of color were used to create a hip NYC punk girl look with a flirty, hot pink lip and electric green eyes," said Sarah Lucero for Stila.

Tracy Reese "Inspiration was subtly reminiscent of the 70s, with the models wearing a halo of shimmering bronze and a multidimensional eye. For this look, my motto for lips and cheeks was 'peach is the new pink,'" said Mally Roncal.

Chris Benz "Youthfully sophisticated...From a distance, it looks like a fuller lash, but up close it's just cool" while skin was left "medium bodied-not too dewy or matte," said Daniel Martin for Lancome.

Rodarte   "It's all about Northern California, giant redwoods and the gold rush of 1849," said James Kaliardos for MAC.
